How it works
STEP 1
WhatsApp Photos
Send me lots of photos of the room that you'd like to transform. I'll draw up a floorplan for you to fill in your room measurements.
STEP 2
Pinterest Collaboration
I'll set you up with a Pinterest board and an invitation to collaborate. Over a week, or however long you need, you'll use this board to collect as many pins as you can so that I can get a good feel for the style that you like. The more you can pin the better!
Not familiar with Pinterest? Don't worry, I can talk you through.
STEP 3
Phone Consultation
After you've completed and are happy with your Pinterest board we'll arrange a phone or Zoom consultation, whichever you'd prefer to discuss solutions and budgets. At this point of the design process 50% payment will be required to progress.
STEP 4
Design Solution
During the final week I will work on designing your own unique curated mood board, complete with online links to suppliers of all of products within budget to create your perfect room. The availability of these products is guaranteed for 4 weeks* otherwise an alternative item will be sourced.
*This does not apply to reduced items or sale periods during the year.
STEP 5
Over To You
In a further phone or Zoom call I'll talk you through your online shoppable Pinterest board. After the remaining balance is paid your completed Pinterest will be signed over to you. You will then use the online links direct to suppliers to make purchases to achieve your beautifully designed room.

Colette Interior Stylist offers a range of interior styling services for your home, from colour palette consultations to comprehensive furniture and fittings solutions. Services are tailored to meet the unique needs and preferences of each client, ensuring a personalised approach to home styling.
Please note the following terms and conditions:
- Scope of Services: Colette Interior Stylist provides styling and design recommendations, including colour palettes, furniture, and fittings, as per the agreed service package. The client is responsible for approving any proposed designs, materials, or purchases.
- Consultation Fees: Fees for consultations and services will be outlined in the initial proposal and may vary based on project scope and requirements. Payment terms will be specified within the agreement and must be adhered to unless otherwise agreed in writing.
- Purchasing and Procurement: Any procurement of furniture, fixtures, or other materials will be managed by Colette Interior Stylist with prior client approval. Payment for these items may be requested in advance, and clients are responsible for any delivery fees or other related costs.
- Project Timelines: Estimated timelines for project completion will be provided and are subject to change based on material availability, client decision timelines, and other external factors. Colette Interior Stylist will communicate any delays as they arise.
- Liability: While Colette Interior Stylist strives to ensure the quality and durability of recommended products, liability for defects or issues with products sourced from third-party vendors remains with the original manufacturer or vendor. Colette Interior Stylist is not liable for any damages or additional costs arising from these issues.
- Client Satisfaction: Colette Interior Stylist aims to achieve client satisfaction with all services rendered. If any adjustments are needed, clients should communicate any concerns during the project.
- Payment Terms: A non-refundable payment of 50% of the total agreed cost is required upon instruction to secure booking and initiate the project. The remaining balance will be payable upon completion of the project or as otherwise specified in the agreement. Failure to make payments as scheduled may result in delays or suspension of services. For commercial projects, an initial payment of 50% of the agreed project cost is required upon instruction to confirm the booking and begin work. Following completion of the project or as outlined in the service agreement, the remaining balance will be invoiced. Payment of the final invoice is due within 15 working days of the invoice date.
Colette Interior Stylist provides styling advice and recommendations only, offering guidance on colour schemes, furnishings, and layout ideas to enhance your space. Please be advised of the following terms and conditions regarding third-party services:
- Scope of Services: Colette Interior Stylist delivers design and styling advice tailored to your project needs. This includes recommendations on colors, furnishings, and decor but does not include physical installation or hands-on work.
- Third-Party Tradespeople: It is the client’s sole responsibility to hire competent and qualified tradespeople or contractors for any implementation or installation work. Colette Interior Stylist does not source, hire, or oversee third-party contractors.
- Liability for Third-Party Work: Colette Interior Stylist is not liable for any work carried out by third-party tradespeople. Any issues, damages, or dissatisfaction arising from the work of contractors or other service providers are solely between the client and the hired third party.
- Recommendations Disclaimer: While Colette Interior Stylist may provide general advice on suitable types of tradespeople for particular tasks, any recommendations are suggestions only. Colette Interior Stylist is not responsible for the performance, reliability, or quality of any third-party service providers.
Colette Interior Stylist provides up to 4 weeks of support in sourcing any recommended items that may be out of stock, starting from the date of the final payment. Please review the following terms and conditions regarding this support:
- Support Period for Sourcing: Colette Interior Stylist will assist in locating or sourcing alternative options for any recommended items that are out of stock for a period of 4 weeks from the date of final payment. This support is included as part of the initial service package.
- Exclusion of Sale Items: Sale or discounted items are excluded from this sourcing support. Clients are responsible for independently sourcing sale items, as their availability may be unpredictable and outside our control.
- Extended Sourcing Services: Any assistance required beyond the initial 4-week support period will incur additional fees. Rates for extended sourcing services will be outlined upon request.
- Sourcing Limitations: While Colette Interior Stylist will make every reasonable effort to source out-of-stock items or suggest alternatives, availability is subject to supplier stock and market conditions, which may be beyond our control.
Based on the client’s information, Colette Interior Stylist provides a tailored Virtual Design Plan, a digital design customised to suit the specified room or space. Please review the following terms:
- Illustrative Purposes Only: You acknowledge and agree that any Virtual Design Plan produced by Colette Interior Stylist is for illustrative purposes only. The design serves as a guide for styling decisions and does not offer precise specifications for construction or installation. Colette Interior Stylist does not guarantee specific results, nor does the plan ensure compliance with any construction laws, codes, or statutory requirements.
- Measurements: Colette Interior Stylist is not responsible for any measurements supplied by you, the client. All measurements provided should be accurate to ensure that the Virtual Design Plan aligns as closely as possible with the intended space. As such, Colette Interior Stylist is not liable for any products that do not fit in the space due to incorrect measurements provided by the client.
- Revisions: If your package includes a “revision” option, this allows for adjustments of up to five (5) eligible items or features initially selected by the designer. Upon receiving your revision requests, Colette Interior Stylist reserves the right to request additional fees if the revisions are substantial and require significant changes to the Virtual Design Plan.
- Client Response Obligations: Clients must respond promptly and fully to communications throughout the e-design process. If client contact ceases for a period of three (3) months or responses are inadequate for design progression, Colette Interior Stylist will consider the project complete and will cease further work. In such cases, Colette Interior Stylist reserves the right to terminate services.
These terms clarify the scope and limitations of the Virtual Design Plan, including client responsibilities for measurements and communication. For any questions, please contact Colette Interior Stylist before beginning your project.
