Willowbrook Hospice - Reception (Before)

This project was truly a labour of love for me.  I feel so privileged to have designed and project managed the entire refurbishment.

This was the original reception at the Hospice, outdated and unwelcoming. The reception area certainly didn't reflect the outstanding care that is provided at Willowbrook Hospice.

After consultation with Staff, Volunteers, Visitors and Patients a lighter, brighter brand new welcoming reception area was created for better visitor flow.  

A beautiful bespoke desk was commissioned from a local joiner. 

New flooring was fitted and beautiful pre loved furniture sourced.

Willowbrook Hospice - The Quiet Space (Before)

The under used chapel. In a building short on space there was an opportunity to create a real sanctuary space to be used by all.

The previously underused chapel was repurposed into The Quiet Space.

A relaxing space for patients, visitors and staff to decompress. There is also a private prayer room for all faiths or none at all for private contemplation.

Original Staff Room. Harsh lighting with visibility from those using the staircase, not at all relaxing.

Unsociable with very separate seating, an overflow from Covid restrictions.
